Things to do this Heritage Day

Celebrate heritage this week with these activities

Last updated: Monday, 23 September 2024

Every September 24th we celebrate the rich and diverse heritage of our country. While you might think of it as just ‘Braai Day’, it’s so much more than that. This year you can visit the largest exhibition of bronze statues anywhere in the world, for free, celebrate live African music at the Mojo Market, and try swing dancing for your Heritage Day.

FREE GUIDED HERITAGE TOUR

Long March To Freedom will be offering free guided tours to anyone wearing traditional attire. The tours will be happening on the hour, every hour from 10am to 3pm. There will also be specials at the coffee shop, as well as a lucky draw where you stand a chance to win one of two luxury cooler bags.

When: Tuesday, 24 September; 10am to 3pm
Cost: Free; more info via Webticket
