When it comes to music the golden oldies never go out of style. Which is one of the reasons we can’t wait for the fourth annual Tribute Fest Concert happening on Tuesday, 26 December 2017 at Hillcrest Quarry in Durbanville. A fun-filled 12-hour day with covers of some of the best old-school tunes of all time is what you can look forward to.
The line-up includes local favourites like Mark Haze, Patrick Canovi's “Kiss the Sky” Show Band, Music 4 the Masses, Johan Liebenberg Band, The Rivertones, James Marais, as well as solo artists like Ramaine Barreiro-Lloyd – and then there’s also a new surprise new act… who can it be now?
These musos will be paying tribute to some of the biggest music legends of our time, including Neil Diamond, Bon Jovi, Elvis, Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin and more.
Meet the musos
Patrick Canovi's “Kiss the Sky” Show Band: Patrick Canovi started this tribute band back in 1994 and has performed countless shows over the years. Currently, Patrick coaches aspiring music artists, some of which will be performing with the band at the Tribute Fest.
Ramaine Barreiro-Lloyd: Simply the best… Ramaine has a deep appreciation for Tina Turner’s raspy voice and rates her signing to be an experience. Ramaine’s covers of Tina’s masterpieces are masterful in own right.
Music 4 the Masses: A band dedicated to covering Depeche Mode tracks, Music 4 the Masses are even named after the British electronic band’s iconic sixth studio album.
James Marais: Fans all over recognise James as one of the best Elvis tribute artists around. Elvis’s iconic style and famous moves are some of the attributes, which James mimics on stage and delights audiences with.
