Grande Provence’s “Big 5” Luncheon

Five of South Africa's leading Executive Chef's have confirmed their support and volunteered to be part of the ‘Big 5’ luncheon on Sunday 2 May 2010.  This event is held annually at Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate, Franschhoek, in order to create awareness and funds for The Multiple Sclerosis Society of South Africa (MSSA).

Grande Provence's new Executive Chef Darren Roberts will lead the culinary proceedings and will be joined by Bertus Basson – Chef of Overture restaurant, Chris Erasmus – Executive Chef of Ginja, Roberto de Carvalho – Executive Chef of Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa, and Rudi Liebenberg – Chef at the Mount Nelson Hotel.

This team of South Africa’s most celebrated chefs will present a fabulous 5-course gourmet meal, complemented by the award-winning Grande Provence wines. Live entertainment will take place throughout the day and there are spectacular items that will be auctioned.

Local artists such as Beshara, James Stewart and Moreira have also given up their time and will share their talents to provide live entertainment throughout the day. The event will be MC'd by Ryan O'Connor – Patron of M.S Western Cape. 

During the of the day, items that will be auctioned include artwork, a helicopter flight, Champagne, 5-star weekends away and spa treatments - to name just a few that will raise the much needed funds for MS Western Cape.

Due to the generosity of all involved the entire cost of the tickets goes directly to MSSA with absolutely no deductions.
