World-renowned DJ Dino Moran takes over city’s most vibey steak joint

HQ, the stylish steak restaurant in Heritage Square, is changing up it’s Friday night programme by bringing in a new resident DJ: world-renowned local Dino Moran.


And while you’re listening to Moran’s mix of soulful, jazzy, Afro-Latin deep house, fortify yourself for the dance with the best steak, salad and chips the city has to offer.

MORAN IS A TOP-CLASS INTERNATIONAL ACT
Moran has played major events in over 22 countries, headlining top clubs and events such as the Fever Music Festival in Canada and Biblos in London, as well as Pacha and Privilege in Ibiza. He’s also shared the stage with artists such as Seal, Boy George, Johnny Clegg and Paul Oakenfold, among others, and continues to make waves as he constantly evolves his signature sound.

Moran has a special brand of deep house and has  played on Pete Tong’s Essential Mix on BBC’s Radio1.

THE QUALITY OF FOOD MATCHES THE COSMOPOLITAN VIBE
HQ is all about simplicity and sophistication, simple food prepared with perfection. It’s most famous for its steak set menu, a grain-fed 250g sirloin steak topped with Café de Paris butter sauce and accompanied with skinny fries and fresh and crisp salad. 

There’s also fresh and seasonal tapas: from triple-cooked pork belly with apple crème fraiche to crackling and jus or free-range chicken wings with smoked yoghurt, tomato pesto and blue cheese.

THE VENUE IS CENTRAL, SAFE AND CONVENIENT
HQ is set on the city’s historic Heritage Square, conveniently close to a parking lot. The decor is classy, Paris-style eatery, with leather couches, a crackling fire in cool weather, close-set tables and an open-plan kitchen.

There’s also a mezzanine level that overlooks the stage, providing a perfect vantage point of the evening’s performers. If you prefer your meal and drinks in the fresh air, there’s a lovely, rustic courtyard with twinkling fairy lights that has a magical atmosphere.
