Steven Tyler and Kings of Chaos Concert in Cape Town

Aerosmith frontman and rock music’s all-stars descend on the Mother City for one night of mosh pit mayhem at GrandWest

The legendary rock supergroup Kings of Chaos is returning to Cape Town after a super successful 2013 gig with an all new line-up – it’s led by none other than rock royalty Steven Tyler. The collaborative group will perform one concert only at GrandWest’s Grand Arena on Wednesday, 3 December 2014 as part of a larger South African tour.

Let’s set the scene: some of the world’s greatest rock superstars, from an assortment of famed international groups, all performing on one stage at the same time. That’s right, seven musicians from various iconic rock bands are set to take the Mother City by storm for a single raucous evening filled with great tunes and heaps of head banging.

This time around, the rock gods have, once again, aligned their forces to offer a showdown of intense magnitude. The stellar line-up includes legendary Aerosmith frontman and former American Idol judge Steven Tyler and Guns N’ Roses musicians Matt Sorum (drummer), Gilby Clarke (guitarist) and Duff McKagan (bassist). Not to mention, sharing the stage with them are guitarist Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top, lead singer and rhythm guitarist Robin Zander from Cheap Trick and lead guitarist Nuno Bettencourt from Extreme.

Former reviews of the supergroup’s performances have been nothing but positive. For instance, Australian rock music journalist Paul Cashmere made the following comment about their show at the 2013 Stone Music Festival, “Kings of Chaos were not just good, they were unbelievably brilliant.”

In short, get excited!
