‘169 On Long’ is back

On 227 Long Street has re-opened with a restaurant, cigar lounge, cocktail bar & club

The legends from ‘169 on Long’ are back (on 227 Long), and are ready to amp up Cape Town’s nightlife scene. Formerly Cape To Cuba, the venue has come alive again and has taken the original founders  of ‘169 on Long’ out of early retirement.

The restaurant maintains a Cuban feel, and they will keep the popular tapas and Cuban bread on the menu. Also upstairs features a slick cigar bar, and downstairs offers exotic cocktails in the revamped and larger cocktail bar.

The restaurant, cocktail bar and cigar lounge are open Monday to Saturday, with live Jazz or R&B for Friday sundowners. Additionally every Friday and Saturday the restaurant turns into a club after dinner.

Remember the days when the floors would bounce from the fattest R&B music? Expect the R&B and hip hop flavours from those legendary days to come back on Friday and Saturday nights.

The cocktail bar opened 2 December and the upstairs opened with a bang on the 15th December.
