The Springboks are coming to Cape Town for a parade! The South African Rugby Team is visiting Cape Town for a celebration worthy for our World Champions of Rugby!

After winning the Rugby World Cup 2007 and an incredible reception at O.R Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, the Springboks are coming to Cape Town for a ticketing parade on monday 29 October.

SA Rugby has confirmed details of the Springboks winning parade to honour the team’s World Cup winning performance at the IRB Rugby World Cup in France.

SARU President, Oregan Hoskins, has appealed to the public to join in the celebrations by wearing Green and Gold.

President Thabo Mbeki has invited the team for a courtesy visit to the Union Building in Pretoria on Friday, where he will formally congratulate the players and management.

The Springboks became only the second team after the Wallabies to win the Webb Ellis Cup for a second time.

On Saturday morning former president and Nobel Peace winner Nelson Mandela will host the team during a brief visit to his residence in Houghton in Johannesburg.

The victory celebrations include various ticket-tape parades in Pretoria, Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town as well as team appearances in Bloemfontein and Port Elizabeth.
