Khayelitsha to host "Pay-What-You-Can" Performance of Waiting for Godot
The internationally successful production - directed by Sean Mathias and starring Sir Ian McKellen - will be doing a once-off performance on at the O.R. Tambo Sports Centre in Khayelitsha.
In a move that has the attention of theatre critics around the world, the cast of Waiting for Godot expressed interest in the idea of exposing this world-class production to emerging audiences who would not often have the opportunity to see a show of this stature.
After a phenomenally successful 2 year run with record breaking box office in London's West End and touring across the UK, Australia and New Zealand, the international cast of Sean Mathias' Waiting for Godot will be also be at the Fugard Theatre from 29 July to 14 August.
