The L'Ormarins Queen's Plate : 9 January 2010
High-society types will surely trot over to South Africa's most prestigious annual horse-racing event, the 148th running of the L'Ormarins Queen's Plate. Giddee up, friends. The dress code this year is Blue & White. Read more about the event at L'Ormarins Queen's Plate.
The J&B Met : 30 January 2010
The annual J&B Met at Kenilworth Racecourse is a gathering of the rich and famous, the fashion junkies and the thousands who just like to get lost in milling crowds. The Theme this year is In Full Colour. For more information read J&B Met 2010.
Design Indaba Expo : 26–28 February 2010

Two Ocean’s Marathon : 3 April 2010
The Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon has earned a reputation as the world’s most beautiful marathon. The first race was held in 1970 and saw 26 runners line up to face the unknown challenge. The Mother City Queer Project is a Queer Art Party Project, now in its 13th incarnation. Each year the main event is a huge costume party. This year the party will be held at the Old Biscuit Mill and the theme is Toolbox project.
