First Lifestyle Indoor Market at Northgate Island

With fashion, interior design and a kids Treasure Cove - the Sunday Island Market provides entertainment for the whole family

Hurray! Sunday's in Cape Town are a lot more exciting with the launch of the city’s first indoor design & lifestyle market - Sunday Island Market - last November.

Where is this? The market is located on the 1st and 2nd floors of Northgate Island - Cape Town’s largest home and lifestyle centre - which is situated on the N1 Highway, next to Ysterplaat Airforce Base and alongside the M5 highway.

Some of South Africa’s best design talent is on show every Sunday between 10:00 and 14:00. Over 100 décor, art, furniture, fashion, crafts and jewellery stalls are on display, as well as a weekly bridal expo featuring bridal gowns, venues and catering options.

The market provides entertainment for the whole family. It will feature interactive food and wine demos from top local chefs and established winemakers, whilst kids can play and be entertained at the supervised “Treasure Cove”.

Additional attractions include an authentic beach bar with a Marimba band as well as other live music. Entrance to the market and parking is free to the public.

For inquiries about exhibiting your work, contact Ulna Rossouw at islandmarket@gmail.com or on 076 074 0970. If you want more information about the market, visit sundayislandmarket.co.za.
