Saturday Psyde Show ft. Bizzare Contact
A “Bizzare” encounter at Cape Town’s latest trance club
It is the sixth year that Artscape takes the theatre to the people. Cape Town City Ballet, opera singers from the University of Cape Town, the Zip Zap circus, radio personality and singer Alistair Izobell, Carol Thorns (CODA), the female marimba and drumming group Women Unite and Ceres’s own Grant Peres is on the bill. Through this project, more than 20 000 people have been introduced to the inspiring world of theatre and arts.
From 6 to 8 May, Artscape’s Audience Development and Education Department will take an exciting community outreach programme to the Witzenberg area, promising lively action and entertainment.
The Witzenberg Municipality is already on board as a strategic partner, while the farms in the district will also be involved in the project.
The school productions will not only entertain, but will focus on introducing learners to the various performing art forms and creative career opportunities in this industry.
A workshop with a social dialogue for the youth and skills development as themes will also be presented in order to hear the voice of the Witzenberg’s young people.
For more information on the programme, times, locations and sponsorships please visit www.artscape.co.za
Tickets are available from Computicket and Shoprite / Checkers Stores
