The City of Cape Town’s Director of Coordination for the 2010 World Cup, Teral Cullen, will on 28 August speak about the potential for economic investment and growth presented by the 2010 FIFA World Cup stadium in Cape Town, the surrounding R120 million urban park and areas beyond.
As part of the City Of Cape Town’s 2010 team, Teral was involved with the new Green Point stadium project since its inception. This included the Environmental Impact Assessment and the procurement of the professional team phases.
She has also been integrally involved in the procurement of the stadium operator phase. She coordinated the 2010 business plan for Cape Town and the Western Cape, which secured the largest budget for stadium construction in South Africa.
Several revisions of the business plan has ensured investment of over R7 billion from 3 spheres of government.
Teral will speak about her work on 28 August, which will be followed by a guided tour of the 2010 Green Point Stadium construction site.
