Need a little joy and kindness in your life? Then be sure to make your way to the Baxter Theatre in Rondebosch with Dr Akong Tulku Rinpoche who is an eminent Tibetan lama, meditation master and great humanitarian.

Kindness comes from the heart, brings joy and oils the wheels of life. It exists in the simplest of gestures and many of which go unnoticed, a touch of the hand, picking up litter, holding open a door and always a smile.

The day will be introduced by Rob Nairn on 'Why does Kindness bring Joy?'

There will be interesting stalls for browsing like music & film, books, prayer flags, crystals, shawls and so much more.

What you can expect from your day of joy and kindness:

• Receive a Kindness & Compassion Chenrezig Blessing from Dr Akong Tulku

• Listen to a talk on Why Kindness is an Answer? – by world-renowned Buddhist teacher & lecturer & author, Rob Nairn

• Join in a guided kindness meditation

• Children join in stories, paintings . . face paintings with the 5 colours white red blue yellow green

• Help build a Kindness Wall at the Baxter theatre by adding a “brick” with a message

• Songs and music by Kronendal Music Academy

• Performances by Ndlovu gum boot dancers (kids) from Khayelitsha

• Jungle Theatre
