Saturday Psyde Show ft. Bizzare Contact
A “Bizzare” encounter at Cape Town’s latest trance club
On the 17th of April 2010, roughly 100 intrepid Capetonians will attempt to see how many times they can summit Table Mountain from sunrise to sunset in order to raise money for Aids affected, vulnerable and orphaned children.
This is a tough event for the competitors. Each lap is 5.5km - 760 metres of climbing - in distance and will take approximately 2 hours. The route up Platteklip Gorge includes 800 double size steps over a distance of 2.1km. Once at the top, the contestants need to run to the upper cable station, catch a lift down and then run back to the start.
Last year Argusx2, Charity Challenge and individual donors managed to raise R551 200.00 for the Masikulisane Crèche and to build a bigger Children's Centre with Educare focus across the road.
The Webber Wentzel Charity urges you to sponsor their contestants generously. In this 'credit crunch' year, corporate sponsors are hard to find, so they need individuals to give handsomely.
All donations are tax deductable as the funds are being managed by the Ubomi Trust. If you are a corporate that would like to get involved and are willing to provide any kind of sponsorship required for a sporting event, such as Lanyards, liquid refreshments etc, please contact The Webber Wentzel Charity on www.charitychallenge.co.za
