Fabulous North Indian fare served at F.east on Long Street

Lovers of Indian food in Cape Town have a new restaurant to enjoy

The new Indian restaurant F.east on Long Street sent us some information to tantalise the taste buds. We haven’t been yet so go and see for yourself and let us know what you think.

Situated on the corner of Long and Bloem, on the street that never sleeps, F.east’s launch party was a blast.

Hosted by Simmy Singh, the launch featured exotic belly dancers, great food, and classic entertainment. The sound of the tabla and sitar players transported revellers to the bustling streets of Delhi, with the fragrant smell of spices lingering on the nose and playing with the palette. The food was delicious and the F.east cocktails helped cut through some of the spicy lamb vindaloo.

Highlight of the evening, apart from a chance to exchange words with Andries Bekker and the Indian consular general, were the melt-in-your-mouth desserts. The rose water and Mascarpone panna cotta, topped with cashew nut brittle was the perfect way to end an exotic journey.
