Discover the latest travel trends, products and businesses at this incredible networking opportunity that sees thousands of travel industry professionals congregate in Cape Town. World Trade Market (WTM) Africa will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 10 - 12 April 2024. And it’s free to visit.
WTM Africa is one of six shows in the WTM portfolio, with others hosted in London, São Paulo, Dubai, Penang and Cannes. It’s Africa’s leading and only business to business (B2B) exhibition for both the inbound and outbound African travel and tourism markets.
WTM is the hub of travel ideas and networking in the city. Visitors (and exhibitors) can generate sales leads, launch new products, raise brand awareness, and develop and maintain relationships all under one roof. Since its start in 2014, 8 300 trade professionals and 577 exhibitors have attended, along with 200 speakers.

A highlight of the weekend programme is the presentation of the WTM Africa Annual Trend Report. It looks at some of the biggest trends and shifts, and what they could mean for everyone working in (and passionate about) travel in Africa. Another highlight is the Sustainability Village, a collection of exhibitors with a commitment to sustainable tourism.
For those wanting to network, there’ll be a speed networking event. Buyers hold five minute meetings with exhibitors, and if the introduction has been successful, WTM will even arrange a more in-depth meeting.
There’ll also be a variety of conferences and seminars such as Harnessing AI for Business Optimization (Nazareen Ebrahim, CEO of Socially Acceptable) and Leaders in Responsible Tourism (led by Harold Goodwin, Julie Cheetham, James Fernie and Chas Prettejohn).
For more information on the events, see the WTM Africa events page.

WTM Africa allows you to put your brand in front of buyers, influencers and tens of thousands of potential customers. There’s even exclusive, discounted videography and photography packages designed to enhance your marketing presence before, during and/or after the show.
The opportunities to network are also wonderfully fruitful. In 2023, WTM Africa sparked thousands of meetings, resulting in placed business.
The exhibitor list is diverse and dynamic, so you’ll be able to network with all kinds of professionals and businesses. Local 2024 exhibitors include AfriCamps Boutique Glamping, Africa Sky Runners, Blaauwberg Beach Hotel, Canopy Tours South Africa, Cape Sidecar Adventures, Club Mykonos and so much more.
