10 Incredible Photos Of The Supermoon In Cape Town
Cape Town skies makes way for the Supermoon
Last Updated: 15 November 2016
The air was filled with excitement on the eve of 14 November when the moon was showing off her colossal size and beautiful illumination of light.
The Supermoon grabbed the attention of the world, when it came the closest it has ever been to earth since 1948 - a distance of 356,509 kilometres to be exact. Though South Africans joined in on the hype, the Mother city behaved herself with the rest of the country experiencing “technical difficulties”.
Cloudy skies left, CliffCentral radio host, Brent Lindeque (@BrentLindeque) hilariously tweeting: “Guys I think my Supermoon is broken…how do I get a refund?rdquo; While in Durban, Vanessa Moodley (@thisisnessie) reacted by tweeting: “Wish I could reach up and pull the clouds apart for the moon.”
However, the show had to go on, and we compiled a list of 10 incredible shots of the Supermoon captured in Cape Town.
