5th International Oriental Dance Festival 2010
A charity event in aid of Saartjie Baartman Centre for (abused) Women and Children
This year’s Festival - hosted by Ajsa Samia and Palace of the Winds - will introduce for the first time a Belly Dancing Competition with titles: Cape Belly Princess/ Cape Belly Queen/ King as well as many other dance categories.
Be privileged to be part of this spectacular unique event in the mother City of South Africa this October.
Last year 37 dance studios performed at the Festival, over 500 International and South African Belly Dancers and it was visited by 45000 people!
The Dance Festival will consist of:
28 October 2010 - Gala Evening @ The Bay Hotel
29 October 2010 - Workshop Day @ Protea Hotel Sea Point
29-30 October 2010 - Competition @ V&A Waterfront - Bedouin tent
30-31 October 2010 - Fringe program @ V&A Waterfront - Bedouin tent & Ampitheatre

Workshop Day – Free @ 10:00 – 18:00
Competition (Fri and Sat) – R50p/p @ 19:00 – 22:00
Fringe program (Sat and Sun) – Free @ 10:00 – 17:00
Deadlines for applications:
- 30 June 2010 is the dead line for the application to participate at the Gala evening and Fringe Program at the Waterfront.
- 30 September 2010 is the deadline for application to participate at the Competition
- 29 and 30 October 2010 is deadline for booking the workshops.
