Here’s hoping Benni McCarthy manages to get his troops in the ‘18 area’ when Cape Town City FC host Platinum Stars on Wednesday 7.30pm, 23 August 2017 at Cape Town Stadium.

The Citizens will compete for the league title from the word go. Having been busy in the transfer market and securing players like Teko Modise, the club will have no excuse when it comes to finding the back of the net. City have only missed out on scoring in six matches during the 2016/2017 season, proving the team has no problem when it comes to the scoreboard.

Cape Town City’s attack is led by Lebogang Manyama, who also topped the goal-scoring charts for the club, netting 15 goals for the season. Manyama will have an opportunity to link up with the creativity of Modise adding strength to the attack.
