They call themselves a “tshishanyama that went to private school.” PriMEATive: Working space with free wifi by day, and a vibey hangout with DJs, happy hour and spitbraais by night.
LIVE MUSIC AND FIRST THURSDAYS
PriMEATive is situated on the corner of Roeland and Buitenkant Street. During the day, it’s a relaxed working space with coffee and free wifi.
As soon as it gets dark, the restaurant turns into a lively entertainment spot with dope DJ line-ups like DJ Dilish (house music enthusiast) and DJ Shakes, who often plays kwaito mixes.
On First Thursdays, you can expect artists like Tankiso Mamabolo, known for her sounds of Nigerian R&B.
Wondering what you can expect on the menu? Cold craft beers, tshishanyama and meat platters straight from a spitbraai. Their happy hour specials run from 6pm to 7pm every day.
