‘169 On Long’ is back
On 227 Long Street has re-opened with a restaurant, cigar lounge, cocktail bar & club
The legends from ‘169 on Long’ are back (on 227 Long), and ready to amp up Cape Town’s nightlife. Formerly Cape To Cuba, the venue has come alive again and has taken the original ‘169 on Long’ founders out of retirement.
The restaurant maintains a Cuban feel and allows patrons to feel at ease when they walk through the door. The menu has a lovely variety of dishes for both the novelty and beginner pallets, from a fabulous sushi plate (they have platters too… we love this!) to pizza’s and cocktails, you’ll be able to go with anyone and everyone.
The upstairs section features a slick cigar bar while downstairs offers exotic cocktails in the revamped and larger cocktail bar. The vibey energy is great for anyone looking to have a casual dinner and drink after work or even a fabulous night out. The eclectic energy will draw you in straight away, so grab something to eat and squeak a tekkie.
The restaurant, cocktail bar and cigar lounge are open Monday to Saturday, with live Jazz or R&B for Friday sundowners. Additionally, every Friday and Saturday the restaurant turns into a club after dinner. Remember the days when the floors would bounce from the phattest R&B music? Expect these R&B and hip hop flavours from those legendary days to come back on Friday and Saturday nights.
