Explore local brands at The Creative Hub
Shop 18+ local brands and visit on monthly Family Days
Latest update: 22 October 2024
“When you buy from a small business, an actual person does a little happy dance” says the quote on The Creative Hub’s wall. This new Lansdowne concept store holds over 18 local brands and businesses (you’ll find everything from litchi honey and modest fashion to dry cupping and shiatsu massages). And the Family Days, which happen on the first weekend of every month, have food pop-ups and creative workshops for adults and kids.

HUB FOR SMALL BUSINESSES IN CAPE TOWN
The Creative Hub opened in September 2024. Owner Bahiyya Jacobs, who founded her own modest fashion brand, Bz Boutique, saw firsthand the importance of having a supportive environment for small businesses. “I wanted to create a space for brands to showcase their products at an affordable price.”
The idea for the space is a spot for friends and families to get everything they want under one roof (whether it be cake, coffee, accessories, jewellery, beauty products, and even massages).

MODEST FASHION, LITCHI HONEY, NATURAL SKINCARE
Vibrant green walls envelop The Creative Hub, with rails filled with dresses, abayas, leather bags, silk scarves and more.
Aside from clothing, accessories and makeup, there’s also oil-based perfumes for men and women by Scented Bliss Perfumes, natural home and body products from Forever Natural, and different flavoured honeys (like macadamia, litchi and fynbos) from The Honey Connoisseur.

EVEN SHIATSU MASSAGES & DRY CUPPING
The Creative Hub even offers shiatsu massages (a form of Chinese massage which balances the flow of energy in the body), dry cupping, mind and body life coaching by Dstress With Me, and other natural healing treatments.
There’s also a cosy coffee corner with cakes of the day.
Shiatsu massages can help reduce migraines, anxiety, and more.ub
FAMILY DAYS ONCE A MONTH
On the first weekend of each month, The Creative Hub hosts pop-up Family Days where even more local businesses can showcase their goods and services.
Besides the usual brands, there’s also painting and biscuit-decorating workshops, jumping castles and food stall pop-ups (offering boba tea, mocktails, waffles, and more).
You can stay in the loop about their upcoming events on The Creative Hub’s Instagram.
