Fresh Food and Yummy Coffees at Newport Deli
There’s more than just a sea breeze at Mouille Point
The promenade that runs from Mouille Point to Bantry Bay has to be my ultimate, weekend destination. I always park my car in Three Anchor Bay and go for a stroll along the promenade, all the way to Mouille Point’s Newport Deli. Not only do I rest and indulge in a freshly brewed, cup of coffee, but having the sea and an ice-cream parlor close by is somewhat rejuvenating.
Newport Deli is the ideal pit stop for light lunches, snacks, smoothies, coffees and all out dinners, if you wish. Locals and tourists alike flock to this hotspot because of it’s stunning 180 degree view of the sea and you’ll usually find it full and bustling with life. It’s the perfect spot to watch the sunrise, whilst tucking into a healthy breakfast, or for sundowner coffee’s, whilst listening to the sound of the ocean.
You may even spot whales and dolphins at play, in the water right in front of the deli, which makes it an awesome location. Newport Deli is open and airy and affords inside and outside dining: the inside section incorporates high tables with better views of the sea, whilst the outdoor seating area is perfect for sun seekers, dog walkers and those who simply like to enjoy fresh sea air. It’s a perfect lunch spot.
The deli stocks a range of local and imported produce, as well as pastries and freshly baked breads. Grab your favourites here for a memorable beachside picnic.
