E-bike your way in and around Zevenwacht and Jordan Wine Estate
E-bike between vineyards with stops for wine, cheese, and chocolate truffles
Grab the family and enjoy a leisurely cycle through the scenic vineyards of Zevenwacht and Jordan Wine Estate. The E-bikes at African Eagle Day Tours are charged, Covid-19 prepped, and ready to take you on a unique Winelands experience. Cycle while you soak up the breathtaking views of Cape Town, stop off for a Zevenwacht wine tasting and give your legs a break with a decadent lunch at Jordan Wine Estate.
BRING THE KIDS FOR A STUNNING DAY OUT
“This is an extraordinary family event,” says marketing manager, Neil Dilgee. If they can reach the pedals and know how to ride a bike, let the kids tag along for a vineyard adventure. All tours begin in the parking lot of Zevenwacht Wine Estate. Before your departure, your tour guide will run through a short safety briefing and get you fitted onto your bike and into your helmet.
HAVE A WINE TASTING PIT-STOP
Cycling through exquisite vineyards can really take it out of you. Make sure to take a break when you pass Zevenwacht's tasting cellar. There, you’ll be spoiled for choice. Pick and choose between five tastings from cheese and biscuits to a sweet chocolate truffle tasting. Before you leave, get a glass of their 2017 The Tin Mine Red (it’s award-winning).
DINE ALONGSIDE UNBEATABLE VIEWS
Just a couple of kilometres further, through even more breathtaking vineyards, you'll spot the lush lawns of Jordan Wine Estate. Take the rest of the afternoon and enjoy a decadent eight-hour braised Williston lamb shoulder or the Mozambique prawn risotto. To get the full experience, pair your meal with one of the Estate’s four elegant cabernets.
DON’T FORGET THE SUNSCREEN
It’s up to you if you’d like to head out for the morning slot between 9am and 11am or the afternoon slot between 1pm and 3pm. Before your ride, each bike will be cleaned and sanitised with sanitising stations available at every stop. All you’ll need is a pair of comfortable shoes and a hat after you’ve booked your spot online via daytours.co.za.
