Food, music and child-friendly fun awaits you at this exciting festival
Try a variety of international dishes and dance along to great tunes by some of the city’s best musicians at the Bok Radio Food Festival at the Cape Town Ostrich Farm from Friday, 2 December to Saturday, 3 December 2016.
Bok Radio is hosting a fantastic food festival and everyone is invited to join the fun! The exciting feast promises scrumptious fare from all over the world, musical performances by hitmakers such as Kahn Morbee and Elvis Blue and plenty of entertainment for the whole family.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE 2016 BOK RADIO FOOD FESTIVAL AT THE CAPE TOWN OSTRICH RANCH
FOOD AND DRINKS: Since this festival is all about food, make sure you show up with an empty tummy and a big appetite because there will be plenty of mouth-watering dishes available every day. Festival-goers can tuck into delicious delights from all over the world as well as flavoursome traditional South African cuisine. Head over to the vibrant beer and wine tent and cool down with a craft beer or a glass of vino from one of the Cape’s finest wineries.
MUSIC: This festival has got a stunning line-up of local musicians performing over the weekend. Kahn Morbee, lead singer of The Parlotones, will be headlining the show on Friday, 2 December and afropop group Mango Groove takes the stage on Saturday, 3 December 2016. These stellar acts will be joined by The Vanilla, Nagligte, Nadia Louw, Refentse, Elvis Blue and many more amazing musicians!
‘CELEBS AND PLEBS’ BRAAI COMPETITION: If you consider yourself a braai master, become one of four lucky contestants in the Celebs and Plebs braai competition and stand a chance to win R20 000! All you need to do to enter is post a picture of yourself with your festival ticket on the Bok Radio Facebook page with the hashtag #CelebsNPlebs and you can take on Bok Radio presenters Le-Lue, Wimpie, Heinrich and Wynand. Esteemed judges Charl ‘Braai’ Bruwer and Le Roux van Vuuren will be tasting everyone dishes to choose the winner.
KIDS PLAY AREA: Children under the age of 10 can delight in free entry to an amusement park filled with fun rides and activities to keep them entertained all day. There will be a special performance by Lollos and friends on Saturday, 3 December 2016 at 10am during which little ones can sing along to their favourite tracks from the hit show.
TICKETS TO THE 2016 BOK RADIO FOOD FESTIVAL AT THE CAPE TOWN OSTRICH RANCH
Tickets can be purchased from Computicket.com and are priced at R50p/p for pensioners and children between the ages of 11 and 17, R100p/p on Friday, 2 December and R120p/p on Saturday, 3 December 2016. Children under the age of 10 enter for free. Gates open at 5pm on Friday and 9am on Saturday.
