Cabaret Musical at The Fugard Theatre

One of Broadway’s most popular productions comes to Cape Town

The same brilliant production team behind The Rocky Horror Show performance are treating audiences to another celebrated musical gem, Cabaret, at The Fugard Theatre in Cape Town  now extended from Tuesday, 10 March to Saturday, 13 June 2015.

The Tony-award winning show gets a South African touch thanks to a predominantly local cast and crew, who together bring the famous tale to life for eager Mother City audiences. The story is set in the heart of Berlin, pre-World War II, at steamy nightlife venue the Kit Kat Klub, where cabaret performer Sally Bowles, the club’s emcee and others encourage patrons to come forget about their troubles by tantalising their senses. However, the political climate is changing and the future looks bleak for Germany and, of course, its nightlife scene too. What ensues is a tale about following your heart even amidst chaos.

With renowned director Matthew Wild and acclaimed producer Eric Abraham behind the scenes, this production is set to be a huge hit and will no doubt blow audiences away with awe-inspiring performances and brilliant choreography.
