Lunares Flamenco Showcase

Flamenco is much more than just billowy skirts and matadors

Feel the heat of Spain’s most beloved dance this May at the Artscape Theatre. For three days only (from Thursday,  26 May to Saturday, 28 May 2016), SA’s most proficient flamenco dancers will strut their stuff and make you feel even worse about still doing the awkward-shuffle. 

The fiery flamenco has captured the spirit of Spain since the early 1800s, but a selection of South African dancers have made their mark on the historic dance and are performing their works for a delighted audience. 

Tierra Flamenca, Cape Town’s newest flamenco company, is the creator behind this enthralling showcase that will boast live dance, live (and heart-pumping) guitar, singing and percussion so sultry you will feel your legs start to move and dance all on their own.

Tickets are available online at Computicket.com and cost R140p/p. The showcase starts at 8:15pm on each evening, and the show lasts approximately 1 hour.
