River Republic Festival in Swellendam
Escape to the river and drift away to the sound of sweet tunes at this weekend music festival
Summer in Cape Town is characterised by warm wind and perfect beach days under the African sun, so what better way to revel in the delightful weather than a music festival on a river? River Republic is the perfect weekend getaway for the young-at-heart who enjoy the festival vibes and a cool place to chill in the heat of the day.
That’s right friends; this magical mini-music festival takes place at Round the Bend Lodge on the Breede River in Swellendam from Friday, 2 December to Sunday, 4 December 2016. Bring your Lilo and costume and have a swimmingly good jol to some top-notch artists who will rock the stage right on the river.
Despite this festival being small in comparison to other major parties, the organisers have made sure that everyone will have a fabulous time, whether you’re a happy hipster, flower-power child or just a generally good bloke. Food stalls and cash bars will be on site to keep you sustained and well hydrated.
Whether you love the thump of electro, the scream of an electric guitar or the twang of the banjo, the line-up will ensure that you enjoy your escape to paradise. A team of talented DJs and musicians will take to the floating stage to have your hips swaying like the rolling river while your head bobs to their beats.
