Alternative rock group The Killers scheduled to tour South Africa for the first time later this year
The world’s hottest alternative rock band, The Killers, have confirmed plans to perform in Cape Town and Johannesburg in December.
The band formed in 2002 and consists of Brandon Flowers, David Keuning, Ronnie Vannucci and Mark Stoermer.
Their debut album Hot Fuss - featuring hit singles such as Mr Brightside, All These Things That I've done and Somebody Told Me - catapulted them onto the global stage in 2004. Their third album Day & Age, was released in 2008.
Fans will be able to see some of The Killers biggest hits live, including Mr Brightside, Somebody told me, Bones, When We Were Young, Read My Mind and Human.
The band has received seven Grammy nods, won a variety of MTV, BRIT and NME Awards, and have headlined music festivals such as Glastonbury, Reading/Leeds and Pukkelpop.
Tickets are available from the 28 August 2009 at all Computicket stores, Shoprite, Checkers and Checkers Hyper stores nationwide.
