Just when you thought the underground dance movement in South Africa was only a whisper, out comes Global Breakthrough and turns the industry on it's head.
So far confirmed for Cape Town is an exclusive wine estate, something very exotic, Art deco hotel and a secret garden on top of a very famous hill with arguably the best views in Cape Town.
The Big Day Festival in Johannesburg will be a 12 hour non stop party of legends and rising stars. Location TBC. / The date is set in stone: Saturday 28 February.
The international star line up for the festival includes Ame (Innervisions), Heidi (Get Physical) and Will Saul (Simple Records). Expect deep, soulful house beats with a spash of detroit techno and a dash of minimal persuasion.
If the likes of Fredde Le Grand or David Guetta rocks your world then give GB a miss.
GB is an industry brand...for the people in the know, that KNOW good dance music.
The fabulous Daddy Long Legs Boutique Hotel and self catering apartments on Cape Town's Long street have been booked out for all the visiting clubbers and everyone that stays with The Daddy will be included in the invite only launch event on the 25th of February.
More than just a festival, Global Breakthrough is a movement, a mindset, a culture.
