Into the Wild Presents Moon Child
They promised they’d be back… and now they are!
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, say hello to Into the Wild’s next edition, Moon Child. It’s going to be bigger and better than ever before! This time the event will boast the mammoth trance master Omiki, who hails from Israel.
The first-ever edition of Into the Wild: Moon Child saw the organisers secure Major 7, another Israeli trance wizard, and Seven Monkeys, hailing from Brazil. Just so you know, we were there, and it was just as awesome as it sounds. Whether you’re a fan of trance/electro or not, an Into the Wild party is the perfect way to introduce yourself to the Cape Town festival scene; it’s close to the city, small-ish, well organised and you don’t have to sleep in a tent! #winning.
Slaley Forest, aka The Woodlands, in Stellenbosch is again the venue for the second edition of Moon Child, this time featuring the dark yet proggy master Omiki. His real name is Omri Amar, and Omiki is the stage name he uses when he puts on those headphones. Omiki blasts some major tunes, and none more famous than Balkan. This hit combines tribal beats and chants with heavy bass and trance-esque melodies.
Have a listen to some of his best work!

The 14-hour progressive trance party will have a fully stocked bar, along with various food vendors and plenty of space to dance, all for your enjoyment. With the amount of alcohol available at the event, driving is not the best idea. Luckily, the organisers have arranged a shuttle service, which will leave from the Sea Point Library at 11am, and will return at the end of the event (in the early hours of the morning on Sunday, 17 September 2017). The price of the shuttle is R110/p return and you can reserve your seat on the bus when you buy your festival ticket on Nutickets.co.za.
TICKETS FOR THE 2017 INTO THE WILD MOON CHILD EXPERIENCE IN STELLENBOSCH
Tickets are on sale now at Nutickets.co.za for R240/p for early birds. Phase One tickets will set you back R300/p and Phase Two will cost R350/p. Don’t feel like driving? Why not catch a shuttle from Sea Point Library? This service leaves at 11am and at 2pm (with a return included) for only R110/p. Drinking and driving is never an option so don’t even give yourself the option. There will be tickets available at the gate, and they will cost R350/p. Numbers don't lie people, it makes sense to buy tickets now and spend the extra cash on drinks.
