Khayelitsha Fashion Week
Haute couture meets kasi style at this showcase of local design in Cape Town’s coolest township
The cultural hub in Khayelitsha is rapidly growing, and we have front row seats for all the couture fashion. The annual Khayelitsha Fashion Week is back and this event that needs to be marked on every social calendar. On Saturday, 21 April 2018, fresh local designers will be showcasing their Spring/Summer collections at the Isivivana Centre library.
With the City Of Cape Town as one of the partners, this event is a platform for local fashion designers and models to make a name for themselves by showcasing their designs, skills and talent on the runway. The aim of the initiative is to offer designers and models exposure so that they are then able to confidently move on to bigger platforms in the near future.
Fashion Week is also an opportunity for you to keep up with what’s happening on the local fashion scene, and enjoy live performances by an awesome lineup of well-known Cape Town musicians. Musos include Turf the Rapper, Abanqolobi, Mwezi, Ray Tee, Cape Kaltsha, Zandisile Rhayi and \ more. Bringing the show together and keeping things going as the MCs will be Sinalo Bhutfleeky from CTV and Vin-Seigh.
