Cook along with top Cape Town chefs and UCOOK
Invite Karen Dudley, Franck Dangereux, and Reuben Riffel into your kitchen in these interactive sessions
Notice: This week join UCOOK's final cook-along episode with the head chef from SA's top eatery The Pot Luck Club, Jason Kosmas. Thanks to all the chef's from Karen Dudley, Reuben Riffel, Franck Dangereux and more UCOOK was able to help support local restaurants and their staff.
UCOOK has launched an interactive new dining experience, where you can cook along with your favourite local chefs. Over June and July, you’ll be able to add dishes from The Kitchen’s Karen Dudley, The Food Barn’s Franck Dangereux, and superstar chef Reuben Riffel to your UCOOK box. Then, you can join a live cookalong where they’ll tell you what their dish means to them and guide you through the cooking process.
HOW UCOOK FOR RESTAURANTS WORKS
UCOOK for Restaurants is a partnership with restaurants and chefs to bring their quintessential flavours into your home. Each week UCOOK will offer a specific restaurant's featured dish, and a portion of the revenue will go directly to the restaurant.
To order, you just need to add that week’s recipe to your UCOOK box, and you’ll be able to join the interactive cookalong that week. “Viewers will be able to ask questions, pick up tips and tricks and really experience the personality of the chef whilst preparing their meal,” says UCOOK CEO, David Torr.
LEARN TO COOK LIKE YOUR FAVOURITE CHEFS
The first restaurant to be featured is Karen Dudley’s The Kitchen, a bustling eatery in the heart of Woodstock. Some of Karen’s signature dishes include “Love Sandwiches” served on artisanal rolls with homemade pesto, and beautifully presented salads with incredible flavours of lime, sesame, goat's cheese and coriander.
Other upcoming featured chefs include Franck Dangereux of The Food Barn and Reuben Riffel, amongst many others. They’ve also built in an instant donation mechanism that will be found on UCOOK’s social media channels, so everyone can support the restaurateurs.
