Metalheads Unite In The “Home” Of Cape Town Heavy Music
Forget first Thursdays, last Fridays is what Cape heavy metal fans are looking forward to.
If you’re a metalhead then you know that no matter how metal your party is, there’ll come a time in the night where a track by Bieber, Drake et al will sneak its way onto the playlist.
But not at Bellville’s Ellington’s Pub. The guys from the Metal Meltdown group host a party there every last Friday of the month where you’ll have an endless stream of Metallica, Pantera, Rage Against the Machine and many more – no Bieber breaks.
The next event is taking place on 28 June 2019.
THE STAR OF THE SHOW
DJ Master Blaste takes his usual spot on the decks providing an array of metal classics along with fresh tunes from modern bands. For this event he’ll be joined by DJ Woody, who brings his massive catalogue of established and obscure Nu Metal Bands from Disturbed to Cold to Mushroomhead.
GETTING IN AND DRINKS SPECIALS
It’s not a party unless there are specials. For the Metal Meltdown Party, Ellingtons will be running “the usual” specials on all beverages.
Entry to Ellington’s is free but remember to bring some cash for drinks (they’re on special, not free).
