The Nederburg Wine Auction
Acquire some sophisticated vintages to add to your vino collection
The annual Nederburg Auction is an event to behold; Vintage wines from various years on display and up for grabs! On Friday, 15 and Saturday, 16 September 2017, Nederburg in Paarl is presenting their annual vino auction. Bring those paddles and get ready to fight it out for some sensational wine.
Typical wine auctions seldom offer guests the chance to taste the wines before they bid on them, but where is the fun in that? At this year’s auction, Nederburg have elected to let their guests sample the wine before they part ways with their cash. The tastings will be hosted by the producers themselves, and there is no better way to learn about wine than from the winemakers directly. Unfortunately this does not apply to the limited reserve wines, which means a select number of wines will not be available for tasting as there is limited stock of these wines.
Here is a little peek at some of the wine estates that will be putting their wines up for auction on Friday, 15 and Saturday, 16 September 2017:
- Boplaas Cellar
- Bosman Family Vineyards
- Cape Point Vineyards
- Diemersdal
- Groot Constantia
- La Motte
- Tokara
- Vondeling
- Warwick
You can view the full list on the auction website Nederburgauction.co.za.
This auction is an opportunity for wine lovers, enthusiasts, appreciators and collectors to get their hands on some of the region's rarest and finest wines. You will also come across various businesses, all vying for the best wines to stock at their hotels, restaurants and bars across the country. While we all love a good vino, the price of the tickets for this event suggests that this auction is for serious bidders only. However,if you fancy a wine experience of some other kind you can have a look at our pick of wine tastings.
