DANCE AT THE BEACH
One of Cape Town’s most beloved festival brands is teaming up with the dreamiest beach venue to make your New Year’s Day memorable. Sexy Groovy Love will be back at Grand Africa Café & Beach with 12 hours of nonstop grooving, 9 local and international DJs and a 3-course menu at Sexy Groovy Love The Beach.

PICNIC CONCERT AT KIRSTENBOSCH
A summer highlight for many locals are the Kirstenbosch Summer Concerts. Bring your picnic baskets and blankets and listen to music from local legends Goldfish. Gates open at 4pm for people to settle in and pick a spot before the concert starts at 5.30pm

GO FOR A MORNING SWIM
Tick off a new year’s resolution with a 1 600m swim from Clifton 4th beach around the bay with 36ONE’s open water swim series. The difficulty for this swim is moderate. 36ONE swim caps are compulsory and on the day tickets are charged an extra R50.
Time: 11am to 12.30pm

DO KARAOKE (FOR FREE)
Mojo Market will be hosting their weekly Monday night karaoke. Arrive early to grab food and drinks from the various market stalls before getting ready to hit the stage. All ages are welcome so bring your family, friends and singing partners.
Time: 7pm
Cost: Free entrance, costs for food and drinks vary
TAKE A DRIVE TO A FAMILY RESORT
De Hollandsche Molen are opening their facilities to day visitors to make use of their outdoor areas. Adults can gather around the braai and picnic areas while kids enjoy the rock and swimming pools, trampolines and more.
Time: 7.30am to 6pm

KEEP THE PARTY GOING WITH A ONE MAN SHOW
Clint Loggenberg created the One Man Show in 2022 as a way to bring together fans of new and old school music. This 18-and-over party will have music ranging from old school to R&B to house. Head to the Terrace Rooftop to continue the new year’s celebrations with an afternoon party.
