2010 Fifa World Cup Tickets: Get your Tickets Early
Information on sales and tickets available for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa
It seems that about 3 million tickets will be available for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. About 1 million of these tickets will be allocated to local fans; another 1 million tickets will go to foreign fans. The last million soccer tickets will be reserved for FIFA officials, players and World Cup sponsors. As a result of logical and legal issues stemming from ticket distributions at last year's Soccer World Cup in Germany, FIFA themselves will be responsible for the distribution of tickets for the Soccer World Cup in South Africa.
The world cup tickets will most likely be available in four price categories. In the first category, seats are usually positioned in the straight section between the pitch or between the two goal lines.
The second category of tickets is usually adjacent to the first category and the third category is usually located in a corner or behind the goal lines. Same generally goes with the fourth category, but seating could vary depending on the venue.
Fifa is also in discussion with the South African government to set up comprehensive anti-touting legislation at the 2010 World Cup.
