My Coke Fest Live Concerts in Cape Town
The 2008 My Coke Fest is bringing the Best of Local and International bands to Cape Town & Johannesburg
Following the tradition of 2005’s Coca-Cola Colab Massive Mix and last year’s mammoth My Coke Fest, Coca-Cola South Africa, in partnership with 5FM, has announced the coming of My Coke Fest in 2008!With the initial Coca-Cola Colab Massive Mix featuring Fat Boy Slim and in Cape Town’s former Green Point Stadium, and the My Coke Fest bringing Guns and Roses, Staind and Three Doors Down to Kenilworth’s Race Track in 2007.
The 2008 My Coke Fest concert in Cape Town will once again be featured at Kenilworth Racecourse in Cape Town on Monday, March 24.
My Coke Fest 2008 is promising to feature the hottest line-up to date. A blend of the finest and most sought after International and South African bands and musicians.
Thousands of South African fans and international visitors are expected to flock to the 2-day, 12-hour, 10-band, adrenalin-fuelled music festival, and feast on some of the finest live bands in the world! The number of live concerts of top bands in Cape Town in 2008 has simply never been better.
Some of the bands and musicians performing live at My Coke Fest in 2008 are the all-star, multi-award winning line-up includes US Rock sensation Good Charlotte, Britain’s “Best Live Act” Kaiser Chiefs, Sound Garden and Audioslave front-man Chris Cornell, “Supermassive” Muse, and the multi-platinum, Grammy-winning KOЯN.
On the local front, the first South African band to be announced is one of SA’s top rock outfits, Prime Circle.
