Head To Mitchells Plain For A Moerse Good Show
Plus all proceeds go towards improving and helping the community
Mitchells Plain is not known for half-measures, which is why when its local stars promise to entertain you, expect them to put on a serious show. Well, not serious, exactly, because there’ll be plenty of laughter in between the shows by famous brothers Emo and Luqmaan Adams, Lyndle Kearns, Youngstacpt, actor Christian Bennet and Kinders Van Die Ses.
The event is also about raising money for good causes in the area. So do show support and head down to A Night Out With The Famous Brothers at Spine Road High School on 11 October.
KINDERS VAN DIE SES WILL ALSO PERFORM
Kinders Van Die Ses is a school and organisation that specialises in musical comedies that keep the whole family entertained. It all started with Omar Adams, father of Emo and Luqmaan Adams, who established the school in 1989 to explore young talent in the community and at the same time keep youth off the streets and out of trouble after school by teaching them music, comedy and drama.
Event organiser Omar Adams said he and the other organisers wanted to create a show in Mitchells Plain that would be on par with one performed at The Baxter or Grand West, because locals couldn’t always afford the high ticket prices at those venues, or couldn’t get to them. This way, locals would get to see something special without breaking the bank and close by. All ages are welcome.
IT'S ALL ABOUT GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
The purpose of the show is to raise funds for various initiatives around Mitchell's Plain, and there are many: churches, schools, libraries, and also the feeding scheme/soup kitchen in the Tafelsig area which feeds the homeless. The proceeds of the evening will be divided according to need.
