3-in-1 winner: Eat, look and listen at One Park
An eatery, a vinyl store and an art gallery live in perfect harmony at One Park
Last updated: Tuesday, 22 February, 2022
One Park exists because passionate people bonded over food, music and art. It's a lovely, moody space with an eatery, a record store and gorgeous art (most of it's for sale). You can move from one sensory delight to another in a heartbeat. In fact, each aspect in this harmonious space enhances the other.

EAT YOUR FAVOURITE SUNDAY FOODS (WITH A TWIST)
One Park has a well considered menu of dishes made with locally sourced seasonal produce. The menu is an ode to the food the chef, Lisa Knipe and her business partner, Yoraya Nydoo, ate in their childhood, except they’ve given it a creative twist. Definitely try the Sunday Family Style Lunch. For many of us, our best memories growing up are Sunday lunches, and One Park’s chefs have reimagined it with a modern twist.

EXPLORE THE VINYL FRONTIER
The Other Records is a lovingly curated community record store. It’s a place for colourful music and the obvious choice for less obvious records! They stock new and imported records, a selection of hardware and accessories and amazing used-vinyl selections. You can find records of your favourite international artists and local legends like Hugh Maikela or Oskido. The store is open 7 days a week and hosts in-store DJ sessions with some of the best local talent. A nice way to spend an hour or two is flicking through the extensive vinyl collection while drinking a curated, handcrafted cocktail. They are open Wednesday to Friday, 2pm to 8pm, and Saturday to Sunday, 12pm to 6pm.

YOU WON’T FIND THESE DRINKS ANYWHERE ELSE
One Park’s beverage director, Yoraya Nydoo, has created and curated the drinks menu inspired by her heritage. It’s resulted in delicious drinks! Have you had a Masala Pine before? It’s inspired by Durban beachfront and is a crowd favourite. Soon there will also be a sound bar – a place for music of all genres and curated events. Where you can listen to good music while sipping on delicious cocktails.
