Rugby Legend Peter De Villiers Shares His Story Beyond The Game
Discover the incredible highs and lows of the historic sporting figure’s life
Peter de Villiers, the first non-white Springbok coach, will be talking about areas of his work and his spirituality, while touching on his 2011 autobiography, Politically Incorrect at Gavin Joachim’s Book Store on 24 May 2019.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Gavin Joachims Publishing and the Peter de Villiers Foundation have organised the event to explore the other side of de Villiers’ life as a public figure. The historic yet, at times, maligned former Springbok coach will also share what continues to drive him, and bring out the personal side of his time as national coach.
De Villiers is also famous for his spiritual quotes and will speak about his faith and belief, maybe coming up with another gem like this one: "God throws the dice and you move wherever they fall … if it’s not meant for you, it’s not meant for you."
REFRESHMENTS AT THE TALK
There will be welcome drinks and snacks platters at the event and Gavin Joachims Bookstore also has an on-site cafe that sells hot beverages and soft drinks.
