Discover a new elegant, cozy wine bar in a secluded courtyard
Small-batch wines, signature cocktails, tapas and cellist on Sundays
Quoin Rock Wine Estate has an elegant space to showcase local, small-batched wines of the Knorhoek Valley. Qbar Wine Bar is in a vibrant, secluded courtyard in Stellenbosch; it’s the perfect spot to wind down or catch up with friends. Live cellosit, Sunday Kelechi, performs every Sunday afternoon and sets the mood for this French style bar.

CHILL IN A SECLUDED COURTYARD
Qbar’s vibrant emerald-green-and-gold interior has brought additional glamour to De Wet Courtyard, well known for its many cafes, art galleries and bars. It feels like an exclusive French bar, with its velvet banquettes inside and canvas umbrellas on the outside. And yet you're only a few steps away from the hustle and bustle of Stellenbosch Central.

TASTE AWARD-WINNING WINES
Quoin Rock is a wine farm set in the Knorhoek Valley, and Qbar means its award-winning wines are now readily available in the heart of Stellenbosch.

Wines available include Namysto Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon and Quoin Rock Black Series MCC. The top seller at Qbar is the Knorhoek Chenin Blanc, which has been carefully crafted from Old Vine Certified vineyards that have been on the farm for over 40 years. Or celebrate with Knorhoek MCC, with its notes of green apple, white Turkish delight, lime and biscuit.

SIP SIGNATURE COCKTAILS
If wine isn't your style, Qbar has a selection of signature cocktails. From negronis (an Italian cocktail, made of one part gin, one part vermouth and one part Campari) to caipirinhas (a take on the classic Brazilian drink, but using Knorhoek Clear Gin, lime juice and lime), you’ll be tempted to try them all. Gin lovers can sample Knorhoek’s Small Batch Craft Gin.

TRY THE TROUT GRAVLAX TAPAS + OYSTERS
Experience unique, uncomplicated flavors in Qbar’s tapas menu, created by Executive Chef Jack Coetzee of Gåte Restaurant. Each dish is carefully designed to honour both the simple ingredients and the wine, allowing the two to harmonize. The bar offers a selection of the fresh, fried and grilled tapas.
