Join hordes of hard rock fans and headbang to Hell and back at the 2014 RAMfest in Cape Town. The outdoor music festival is set to transform Elandskloof Farm in Helderstroom into a veritable mosh pit mecca from Thursday, 6 to Sunday, 9 March 2014.
More than just a music fair, RAMfest is also a fun four-day camping experience, and in between sets, revellers can drink in the beauty of the lush venue, which sits between Villiersdorp and Greyton just 125km outside of Cape Town.
In honour of its eighth birthday, the raucous jol is improving on its previous (already killer) track record and featuring a string of top-level international and local artists bound to bring down the house. Festival-goers can pick and choose their soundscape: there are four different stages, each offering something unique. The main Red Heart Rum Stage features international headliners Killswitch Engage and Trivium from the USA along with UK acts VuvuVultures and Foals and Biffy Clyro, who comes all the way from Scotland. These overseas mega musos will share the stage with hot Mzansi rockers like aKING, ISO, Gangs of Ballet and more.
Alternatively, the Monster Stage will offer audiences a metal-edged experience, while the Olmeca Stage will keep EDM lovers stomping into the early hours of the morning to the sounds of beat-making icons like Camo & Krooked featuring Dynamite MC as well as Niskerone and Haezer, to name but a few.
Otherwise, the Stellenbrau Carnival Stage offers eager beavers the perfect kick-start to the festival with toe-tapping tunes on Thursday, 6 March and will get festival-goers up and vibing early with morning comedy acts, mellow music and laidback vibes on Friday, 7 and Saturday, 8 March.
