Oysters and savoury ice cream on Bree Street
Ice cream flavours like cauliflower, curry oil and apple
Last updated: Friday, 8 March 2024
Yes, you read that correctly. From the creative mind of Michelin star chef Rikku Ó’Donnchü, Shuck + Scoop is changing the way we think of the classic dessert – pairing savoury ice cream flavours like parmesan and cauliflower with a fresh oyster. And it’s tucked inside a luxury car showroom.

OYSTER & ICE CREAM BAR
If you’re expecting vanilla or chocolate ice cream, think again. The gourmet flavours include olive oil ice cream and oscietra caviar; passionfruit sorbet with sea fennel and radish; cauliflower ice cream, curry oil and apple. And it’s served on an oyster in a shell.
Besides the curious concept of combining ice cream and oysters, chef Rikku takes great care in making it a visually aesthetic experience. The oysters are garnished with edible flowers or colourful crumbles. And it’s served on ice.

COCKTAILS IN A CAR SHOWROOM
Shuck + Scoop is located on one of the trendiest streets in the city, Bree Street. The bar is tucked inside the Wiggle Car Hire showroom, so you’re surrounded by luxury cars like Jaguars and Mustangs.
It’s filled with velvet ropes, sculptures, art and persian rugs. You can lounge on one of the plush couches with a cocktail (with options like a Citrus Highball or Sesame Caramel Old Fashioned), or sit at a table near the bar and watch how the Shuck + Scoop team works.
