A caracal spotted taking a lockdown stroll in Simon’s Town
The elusive creature made his way to the beach to terrorise some dassies
This week, a caracal took to the streets of Simon’s Town. The animal was spotted a few times by Simon’s Town resident Yolandé Oelsen, who managed to capture some incredible pics of the elusive creature.

The resident caracal slunk down the pavement before spending some time on the rocky beach, terrorising dassies.

“He came walking calmly down the road, into the undergrowth and appeared on the rocks across from us, chasing dassies, who loudly protested”, the Simon’s Town resident posted on Facebook.
