Perfect summer: Eat Napoli pizza under a palm tree
Sirocco also has a veggie market, vinyl DJs and more
Last updated: Monday, 27 November 2023
This little outdoor gem, tucked away in Kalk Bay, is loved for its Napoli-style pizzas and the enormous palm tree in the middle of the dining area. There’s zesty passion fruit mojito, comfort food bites like ribs and sushi, and decadent cakes. Plus, there’s an organic veggie market and regular live vinyl DJs.

BUILD YOUR OWN PIZZA
Light and fluffy crusts, thin slices loaded with cheese and fresh ingredients. The sourdough bases are made with the finest Italian double-zero flour and fermented for 72 hours and hand-stretched.
Sirocco gives you the freedom to build your own pizza and there are loads of toppings – from olives, mushrooms and pineapple to anchovies, chorizo, blue cheese, and more. Plus, you can check out the recommended pizzas on their menu.

Not in the mood for pizza? There’s breakfast until 11.45am, plus lunch and dinner. Try the slow cooked BBQ ribs (served with homemade cornbread), free-range chicken wrap, and seafood linguini. Or opt for a classic fish and chips.
There’s also yummy desserts, like artisan lollies (try the Peanut Butter Bomb flavour; there’s a vegan option too), tiramisu, carrot cake, baked caramel cheesecake, and vegan, gluten-free cookies.

BUY ORGANIC AND FRESH PRODUCE
Stop by Sirocco’s Organic Veggie Market on your way out, an essential part of this local hangout spot. It’s a mix of a convenience store, bakery, deli and a space for other local products and, most importantly, for organic and fresh quality produce. Everything from spinach, kale and turnips to beetroots, mixed herbs, broccoli and oranges. Plus, there’s freshly baked artisan bread.
Sirocco gets all these organic fruits and veggies from local farmers (like the Neighbourhood Farm in Fish Hoek). Image: Sirocco Café
GROOVE TO LIVE MUSIC
Like with its organic veggie market, Sirocco is all about supporting locals and gives Cape Town artists a space to showcase their work. Listen to live vinyl DJ sessions on Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays. Plus, they also sell vintage records on the weekends.
Keep an eye on its social media channels for updated info on live music. Image: Sirocco Café
