12 Survivors ride Harley Davidson's and drive Hummers through South Africa to create awareness for cancer
Journey of Hope Breast Cancer Ride 2008 will be promoting awareness for breast cancer around South Africa. The 12 breast cancer survivors will set off on Harley Davidson’s and Hummers across the country.
It’s an eight-day journey, together with Harley- Davidson and Hummer who have joined forces to cover in excess of 2000 kilometers.
The aim of the campaign is to:
- Unite and create awareness of breast cancer
- Awareness through breast cancer support groups
- Events to give 12 women the chance to change their lives
- Spreading the word - breast cancer can be beaten if detected early
Appearances, talks and awareness workshops will be held at various shopping centres and communities along the route.
This campaign will spread the message of hope across the country on the shoulders of Harley- Davidsons and in the hearts of Hummers.
