Three Wise Monkeys in Seapoint

If they make ramen as good as we have heard then they must be three incredibly wise monkeys in the Mother City...

Three Wise Monkeys, known locally for their poke bowls, is Cape Town’s popular noodle bar. Just before you get excited, poke bowls have nothing to do with pokeballs (although Sea Point is a pretty legit hiding place for the little critters) instead it is a dish made from chunks of raw salmon or tuna, on a bed of rice with some delicious accompaniments! 

The restaurant does not take bookings, so be sure to get there early to grab a table as this place is already a favourite of Sea Point locals. Their ramen noodles are amongst the best in Cape Town; they’re flavourful, fresh and cooked to perfection.

Feeling for something sweet? They've got Japanese Mochi, homemade chocolate and marshmallow s'mores and cakes on offer. This is Asian food that will stand up to the harshest of critics. What else do they have? Good question – sushi. Their sushi is fresh and delicious with modern and interesting variations on traditional sushi formats. They also have bao which if you don't know are delicious steamed buns. Try their buttermilk chicken bao- chicken breast, quick pickled vegetables and firecracker mayo. 

Tip: Make sure you check out the amazing art displays on the walls – the anime paintings are remarkable!
