You'll always want one more at Una Más
Loaded nachos, spicy cocktails and other Mexican favourites in Sea Point
Last updated: Monday, 16 May 2022
“Una más?rdquo; asks the waiter, pointing at my empty cocktail glass. That means “one more” in Spanish, a fitting name for this newly opened restaurant that serves moreish Mexican food and drinks. Una Más is an intimate, trendy and vibey spot already popular with Sea Point locals.

TAKE IN THE BUSTLING VIBE
You’ll find Una Más in Regent Road, Sea Point. Dine inside with vibey music and where neon strips light up the bar or grab a seat outside and take in the city energy. Young locals and tourists make their way up and down this road looking for a place to eat, drink, and let loose. With a karaoke bar across the street the energy around Una Más is electric. Can it get any better? Yes! It’s open during load shedding, with candles on every table creating an intimate atmosphere.

TASTE REAL MEXICAN FOOD WITH A MODERN TWIST
Una Más takes a fresh approach to authentic Mexican food. Kick off your evening with the House-made Crispy Tortillas or Coffee & Carrots salad, served with sumac (a tangy spice), queso fresco (meaning “fresh cheese” in Spanish), crispy kale, pumpkin seeds and aioli. Other interesting options include Tuna Ceviche and loads more to satisfy both meat lovers and vegans.

Don’t leave without trying the Loaded Nachos, a crowd favourite, served with queso fresco, frijoles (meaning “beans” in Spanish) and house salsas. It’s the perfect combination of crispy, creamy, spicy and tangy. Other mains include burrito bowls and a variety of tacos, with fillings including beef short rib, charred calamari or beans. End the night on a sweet note with traditional churros and chocolate sauce. Plus, Una Más also recently released a brunch menu.

TRY THE CREAMY OR SPICY COCKTAILS
You’ll be craving these cocktails for weeks after your visit. Be daring and try the popular Spicy Paloma. It’s a mix of Patron Silver tequila, jalapeno syrup, grapefruit, lime, soda and a Tajin rim (a mild spice). Can’t handle the heat? Opt for something creamy and sweet like the Basil Colada, made with Montelobos Mezcal (a popular Mexican type of liquor, similar to tequila), basil, coconut cream, pineapple, lime and simple syrup. The taste of basil is so subtle, it’s almost like a dessert.
