Ideal for children of all ages, Vista Parties has created the perfect party package for kids who enjoy a little adventure in the form of its World of Birds experience. Beginning at the V&A Waterfront, this venture sees partygoers hop onto the City Sightseeing bus and take an exciting, and somewhat informative, road-trip to the World of Birds in Hout Bay. Along the way, the group will learn interesting and fun facts about the Mother City as well as enjoy spectacular sights of the Peninsula.

Once at their destination, the party will spend time exploring the largest bird park in Africa walking through the various aviaries showcasing the beautiful and unique winged creatures. With over 3 000 birds (and small animals) of 400 different species onsite, the World of Birds provides all – children, parents and bird-fanatics – with the rare opportunity to get up close and personal with their favourite feathered friends.

In addition, the group will take part in an exhilarating treasure hunt to “find our national bird” as well as be able to feed the monkeys before ending off with a yummy picnic (a light lunch comprising seasonal fruit, jelly cups and an option of wraps, hot dogs or beef burgers) – complete with birthday celebrations, party packs (Lays chips, Smarties, Fizzers, juice and more) and cake – alongside the park’s majestic flamingos before heading back to the V&A Waterfront.

PRICE AND BOOKING INFORMATION FOR VISTA PARTIES’ WORLD OF BIRDS

The World of Birds party package is suitable for children of all ages and costs R580 per child with the birthday parents included in the package. The party package price includes the City Sightseeing bus ride, entrance into the World of Birds and a party packet and light meal for each attending child. Additional adults will need to pay R265 each to attend the party (City Sightseeing bus ticket and World of Birds entrance included). Parents wishing to meet the birthday group at the World of Birds can also be arranged and costs will be adjusted accordingly.

The party is approximately four to five hours long and daily time slots are as follows: 9:30am to 1:30pm and 1:30pm to 5pm. There is a minimum of 10 children and a maximum of 20 children for this package.

Birthday Cake: Order your little ones birthday cake through Vista Parties. Themes will run in conjunction with the party package purchased (for a water-themed party, think mermaids, pirates or ocean creatures) and Vista Parties will supply the cake knife and birthday candles. Alternatively, parents are most welcome to bring their own birthday cake to the party (please bring your own candles).

NOTE: Any dietary requirements – Halaal, gluten intolerant, vegetarian etc. – can be catered for at an additional cost and with prior notice.

Tip: As no outside catering is permitted make sure you order one or two platters from Vista Parties for parents joining the party.
